The structural elements to be considered in the design of plastic product molds are:

1. The parting surface is the contact surface between the punch and the mold when the mold is closed. The choice of its location and form is affected by the shape and appearance of the product, wall thickness, molding method, post-processing technology, mold type and structure, demoulding method and molding machine structure.

2. The sliding block, inclined block, straight block and other structural parts of complex molds. The design of structural parts is very critical, related to the life of the mold, processing cycle, cost and product quality. Therefore, the design of complex core structure puts forward higher requirements on the designer's comprehensive ability, and pursues simpler, more durable, and more economical design solutions as much as possible.

3. Plastic product mold precision, namely avoiding jams, precise positioning, guide posts, positioning pins, etc. The positioning system is related to product appearance quality, mold quality and service life. According to different mold structures, choose different positioning methods. Positioning accuracy control mainly depends on processing. The internal mold positioning is mainly designed by the designer to design a more reasonable and easy-to-adjust positioning method.

4. The pouring system is the feed channel from the nozzle to the cavity of the injection molding machine, including the main channel, the branch channel, the gate and the cold material cavity. Especially the selection of the gate position should be convenient for the molten plastic to fill the cavity in a good flow state, and during the mold opening process, the solid runner and gate cold material attached to the product can be easily ejected from the mold and Remove (except hot runner mold).

5. The shrinkage rate of plastics and the factors that affect product dimensional accuracy, such as mold manufacturing and assembly errors, mold wear, etc. In addition, when designing compression molds and injection molds, the matching of process parameters and structural parameters of the molding machine should also be considered. CAD technology has been widely used in plastic mold design.
